Roadmap: Lowering grid temperatures

This Roadmap will provide you with information about why and how to lower the grid temperatures of district heating grids. The reduction of district heating temperatures is part of the path to affordable and green heating.

By reducing the district heating temperatures, it is possible to reduce the energy consumption in the district heating grid. Gridheat losses are reduced, and energy production becomes more efficient, especially for sustainable heat production plants utilizing e.g. solar heating or heat pumps.

When the amount of energy needed to provide heating is reduced, the cost of heating is reduced,and it can become feasible and possible to expand sustainable district heating systems to new areas.
